Phoenix HVAC service from the team that's kept Arizona's most demanding businesses running since 1975. Restaurants. Breweries. Walk-in refrigeration. Now in your home. Same standard. Different address.
The Phoenix HVAC Company Phoenix Counts On
Arizona heat doesn't take a day off. Neither do we.
Maricopa Air has run mission-critical HVAC and refrigeration for Phoenix's most demanding operators since 1975 — 5 OHSO Brewery locations, restaurants, walk-in coolers and freezers, commercial buildings across the Valley. The kind of work where a system failure means closed doors, spoiled inventory, or a 9pm phone call that can't wait until morning.
That's the standard we bring to every home call. Same crew. Same diagnostic rigor. Same operator-grade tools. Different address.
When your AC quits at 113°, or your heat pump won't kick on during a January cold snap, you don't need a sales pitch — you need a tech who's seen this exact failure two hundred times. That's what we do.

Our
Phoenix HVAC Services
We service every system in your home — cooling, heating, air quality, and the equipment that makes it all work. Each service below links to a deeper page with pricing, process, and what to expect on the call.
Air Conditioning
Phoenix asks more of an AC system than almost anywhere in the country. Triple-digit stretches that run May to October. Monsoon dust loading up coils. Rooftop units baking in 160° surface temps. Most failures we see — blown capacitors, frozen evaporator coils, refrigerant leaks at line-set joints, tripped high-pressure cutouts — trace back to climate stress on systems that were never tuned for it.
We diagnose, quote, and fix on the same visit when we can. Before we touch anything, you know what's wrong and what it costs.
Heating
Phoenix winters are mild, but the swings are real — overnight lows in the 30s, cold snaps that catch under-maintained furnaces and heat pumps off guard. Heating systems here run a fraction of the hours they would in the Midwest, which means small issues sit unnoticed until the one week you need them.

Why Phoenix Homeowners Hire Us
We don't lead with "trusted" or "best in Phoenix." We lead with the work.
50 years.
Founded in 1975. Same family. Same standard. Arizona ROC License #169512 — licensed, bonded, insured.
Commercial-grade techs on residential calls.
The crew that diagnoses a walk-in cooler failure at OHSO at 9pm Friday is the same crew showing up at your house Tuesday morning. That tier of technician is rare on residential routes — most residential-only competitors can't match it.
Transparent pricing, on site.
Diagnostic visit is a flat fee, waived if you book the repair. Common single-component repairs (capacitor, contactor, fan motor) run $250–$550 installed. Bigger work — refrigerant, compressor, coil — gets quoted in person before we start, not three days later by email.
No upsell pressure.
If a $180 capacitor fixes the problem, we install a $180 capacitor. The $5,000 rule (repair cost × system age) tells us when replacement actually makes financial sense — and we'll show you the math.
American Standard Customer Care Dealer.
Goodman Certified Comfort Expert. Manufacturer-trained on the systems we install and service.
What to Expect on a Service Call
Two-hour arrival windows for scheduled calls. Faster on emergencies — during peak summer we dispatch within the hour when we can. We'll text when the tech is on the way.
The diagnostic walks the full system: thermostat, refrigerant levels, electrical connections, airflow, condenser, evaporator, drain line. You get the actual fault, the actual cost, and your options — repair now, replace later, or replace now and what that looks like. Then you choose.
While you wait: clear three feet around your indoor and outdoor units. If anyone in the house is showing signs of heat illness — dizziness, headache, nausea — call 911 first, then us.
Phoenix HVAC Service FAQs
Phoenix summers are unforgiving, and having questions about your cooling system is normal. Here are answers to common inquiries we receive from local homeowners about maintaining comfort and efficiency.
Twice a year. Spring tune-up before the heat hits in May, and a fall check on the heating side before the first cold snap in November. Phoenix systems run more hours on the cooling side than almost any market in the country — the spring visit is the one that pays back fastest.
Refrigerant level and pressure check, electrical connection torque and inspection, capacitor test, contactor inspection, condenser coil clean, evaporator coil inspection, drain line flush, blower wheel check, thermostat calibration. You get a written summary of what was tested and what we found.
Yes — for a specific reason. In Phoenix, AC accounts for roughly half of summer electricity usage on most homes. A dirty condenser coil, a low refrigerant charge, or a clogged filter forces your system to run longer to hit the same temperature. We see 10-20% efficiency gains on systems that haven't been serviced in 2+ years just from cleaning, recharging, and tightening connections.
If the system is off and indoor temps are climbing toward 90°+, or if anyone in the home is vulnerable to heat — call. We run after-hours dispatch through the summer. The same line works: (480) 941-3945.
The $5,000 rule. Multiply the repair cost by the age of the system in years. If that number crosses $5,000, replacement usually makes more sense. A $400 capacitor on a 4-year-old unit ($1,600) is a clear repair. A $1,800 coil on a 16-year-old unit ($28,800) is a clear replacement. We'll do the math with you on site.
That's where the company started in 1975 and it's still half the business. Restaurants, breweries, walk-in coolers and freezers, ice machines, rooftop units, tenant build-outs. If you run a property or operate a business in the Valley, ask for our commercial team.
